Used wedges
Wedges are where wear matters most. Grooves lose their sharp edges with play, and Titleist's robot testing of Vokey SM6 wedges found spin dropping noticeably by about 75 rounds. Ask for a straight-on, well-lit photo of the face and compare the grooves in the hitting area with the barely used toe; shiny, rounded groove edges mean a worn wedge. Confirm the loft, bounce and grind from the markings on the head rather than the title alone (Vokey's grinds are lettered F, S, M, D, K and T). Raw-face wedges such as the Callaway Jaws Raw have unplated faces that rust with use, so rust there is expected, not damage. Check the shaft label and grip too.
