Used hybrids
Treat a hybrid like a small fairway wood. Because hybrids are played off the turf and out of rough, look closely at the sole and leading edge for deep gouges or dents, and check the crown for sky marks. Look at the face for cracks and at the scoring area for heavy wear. Golf Monthly notes that adjustable hosels are common on hybrids as well as drivers, so if the model has one, confirm the sleeve is present, note its setting and ask whether the wrench is included. Confirm the loft or number (such as 3H or 4H) from the head, not just the title, and read the shaft label to check the flex matches the rest of your bag.
