The G425 hybrid is Ping's 2021 game-improvement hybrid, sold alongside the G425 woods and irons from early 2021. It uses a new face wrap construction, where the face wraps onto the crown and sole, plus an oval face shape meant to keep launch, spin and carry more consistent between high and low strikes. Ping claimed a little more inertia than the G410 hybrid, and Golf Monthly noted a tungsten weight and a shorter-than-usual stock length that made it one of the straightest hybrids in its test. Lofts ran from 17 to 34 degrees (2 through 7), so it can replace anything from a 2-iron to a 7-iron, and the hosel adjusts loft by 1.5 degrees either way and lie by up to 3 degrees. It suits a wide range of players who want a forgiving, easy-launching long club. Do not confuse it with the G425 Crossover, an iron-shaped utility club from the same family. The G430 hybrid replaced it in 2023. For a used buyer, the adjustable hosel means a slightly off loft can be fixed, and the stock grips carried Arccos shot-tracking sensors, which some sellers mention as a feature.
