The Newport 2 is the classic milled blade, and on a used one the line name on the sole matters more than the Newport 2 stamp. The shape is Scotty Cameron's heel-and-toe weighted blade with a plumbing neck and tri-sole, and this page covers it across Cameron's retail lines. Those lines differ more than the shape does. The Studio Select Newport 2 was on sale by 2013. The Select line followed, refreshed in 2016 with a 303 stainless face-and-sole inlay, two stainless heel-toe weights and a Red Matador grip, and again in 2018 with a thinner topline and more vibration-dampening material. Special Select (January 2020) went back to solid-milled 303 stainless heads, tungsten sole weights on the blades and a cement gray Pistolini Plus grip. It suits a golfer who wants the look and feel of a classic milled blade.
