TaylorMade Stealth 2 Fairway Wood

The Stealth 2 is the standard fairway wood in TaylorMade's 2023 Stealth 2 family, which launched in early 2023 alongside the Stealth 2 drivers and rescues. There were three versions: the Stealth 2 Plus, a titanium head with a 50 gram sliding sole weight and an adjustable sleeve; this Stealth 2, a bonded head aimed at most golfers; and the Stealth 2 HD (high draw), a larger, draw-biased head for players who struggle to launch fairway woods or fight a slice. The Stealth 2 builds on the 2022 Stealth fairway with a slightly lower-profile carbon crown and lower CG, a V-Steel sole for turf interaction, and a Thru-Slot Speed Pocket to protect ball speed on low strikes. The 3-wood head is 185cc, larger than the Plus. Lofts were 15 (3), 16.5 (3HL), 18 (5), 21 (7) and 24 (9) degrees. The Qi10 fairway replaced it in January 2024. For a used buyer, the loft is fixed, so buy the loft you need, and make sure you are not paying for a Plus when you get a standard head, or the other way round.

Which one to buy

About 50 Stealth 2 fairway woods are listed, and most complete clubs ask $160–250 delivered, a wide band because aftermarket shafts and Japan-market builds push the top end. The hosel is bonded, so buy the loft you need: 15° (3), 16.5° (3HL), 18° (5), 21° (7) or 24° (9), and confirm the sole says Stealth 2, not Stealth 2 Plus, HD or the 2022 Stealth. Check the carbon crown for cracks or crush marks and the topline for sky marks, and note shaft and length changes. Japan-based sellers list the Tensei Red TM50, a Japan-market stock shaft that is lighter and softer than the US Ventus TR Red.
