The Callaway Rogue ST MAX is a game-improvement iron for mid-to-high handicaps who want speed and forgiveness with some ability to shape shots. It went on sale in February 2022 as the successor to Callaway's Mavrik irons. The face is an AI-designed Flash Face Cup made from high-strength 450 steel, Callaway moved its urethane microspheres higher up the face to improve sound and feel, and the family carries much more tungsten weighting than the Mavrik line. The Rogue ST iron family has four models, and the names cause most of the confusion on eBay. Rogue ST Pro is a compact hollow-body players' iron. Rogue ST MAX is the standard game-improvement model this page covers. Rogue ST MAX OS has extra-wide soles, a thicker topline and the highest launch in the family. Rogue ST MAX OS Lite is a much lighter build for slower swing speeds. The MAX sits in the middle, a good fit for a golfer who wants real help but not the bulk of the OS. For a used buyer, the main job is confirming it is the MAX and not an OS or OS Lite, and checking the shaft weight and flex, since the lighter builds are aimed at a different player.

Buying guide · Oct 4, 2026
About 37 Rogue ST MAX sets are listed, and most complete ones run $470–575 delivered. Count the clubs and compare price per club (the best buys here are about $61–65 a club), and favor sets that run through the PW in a flex that suits your swing. Confirm the heads say Rogue ST MAX and not MAX OS, MAX OS Lite or Pro, and treat very light graphite or Japan-market shafts ("for CW") as a different, lighter build than US stock Elevate MPH 95 steel. Avoid the two zero-feedback sellers.

Grips, tape and solvent
Most used clubs arrive on the last owner's grips. If they are shiny, cracked or slick, regripping is the cheapest way to make a used club feel new. Match the grip size to your hands, not to what came off.
Groove brush and towel
Dirt packed in the grooves costs spin more than a little wear does. A stiff brush and a damp towel after each shot keep a used wedge or iron set playing at its best.
Impact tape
Stickers on the face show where you strike it. A few range sessions tell you whether the used head, loft and lie suit your swing while you can still resell it.
